Here’s the thing: wattage directly shapes the heat you feel. For a typical bathroom, we size the heater to meet the space’s heat needs. A cozy 4–6 m² bathroom can run on a lower-wattage unit. A bigger 8–12 m² room? You’ll need more output. And the wall-mounted design matters. It keeps the footprint small and puts the heat right where you aim it—so you warm people and surfaces, not the whole air. That’s the big advantage over convection systems, which spend energy heating air that just drifts away.
Materials and Electrical—Built for the Bathroom
We use a shortwave infrared halogen lamp. The quartz glass can take serious heat, and the internal halogen cycle keeps the filament stable, so the lamp lasts longer. Bathrooms are tough. So the lamp is sealed against moisture, and the inside components are protected from steam. The R7s connector is the standard for high-wattage lamps like this—secure, double-ended, quick to wire, and built to handle the current without getting hot under pressure. What It Feels Like—And the Trade-offs
The payoff is instant: direct, radiant warmth that hits you where you stand. Because you’re not heating the entire room, you save energy. But there’s a trade-off. Higher-wattage models—think 1500W or 2000W—put out a lot of heat density. That means the unit gets very hot, and the area around it needs proper clearance. Installation has to account for ventilation and the electrical load on the circuit. Match power to space, and you get a dependable, efficient system. Go too high, and you’re wasting energy. Go too low, and the heater will run nonstop and still miss the temperature you want.
