We use special coatings and materials in the quartz glass to filter that out. It basically acts like a pair of sunglasses for your heater. The harsh light stays out, but the warmth still gets through. You get that cozy, skin-warming heat, but the glow stays soft and muted.&#xA;Then there&amp;rsquo;s the hardware.&#xA;Bathrooms are tough on electronics. They&amp;rsquo;re damp, and you&amp;rsquo;re constantly flipping the switch on and off. That&amp;rsquo;s why we use high-purity quartz tubes. They can handle the &amp;ldquo;thermal shock&amp;rdquo; of heating up and cooling down rapidly without cracking. We&amp;rsquo;ve also tuned the wattage so you feel the heat the second you flip the switch, without pushing the fixture to a dangerous temperature.&#xA;If you&amp;rsquo;re installing these, they&amp;rsquo;re designed to just slide right into your existing fixtures. We use secure connectors, too, because the last thing you want is a spark in a humid room.&#xA;Here is the honest trade-off: because we&amp;rsquo;re filtering the light for safety, these lamps might take a few extra seconds to hit their peak temperature compared to those raw, industrial tubes you&amp;rsquo;d find in a warehouse.&#xA;It’s a tiny trade-off for a much more relaxing experience. Just make sure your wiring is up to the wattage so you don&amp;rsquo;t deal with any annoying flickering.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
